Optical Document Security drew 220 attendees

The 2008 Conference on Optical Document Security has appeared very successful in all aspects, the conference attendance by 220 delegates from virtually all parts of the world being beyond expectation.
The Conference Proceedings on CD-ROM will be mailed to the delegates by 11 February and shortly thereafter will become available for purchase on this website.
Also the Short Course by Ruud van Renesse was a success with an attendance of 74 delegates and 100% positive evaluations.
Finally, the Security Exhibit again was the crowded and buzzing event it has always been and exhibitors were excited by the opportunity of having so many contacts in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
After the conference closure delegates gathered in the hall for a drink and closing talks before departing in all directions of the compass.
The next conference on Optical Document Security will be held in 2010. Information will become available on this website in May 2009.

Conference Program

The Conference Program has been updated per 19 December.
A total of 35 contributions is presented in the following 8 sessions:
- Currency I and II,
- Substrates and Printing I and II,
- Optically Variable Devices I and II,
- Optical Biometrics and
- Authentication.
